Administrative Assistant - Central Support

Reports To: Administrator, Central Support and Lead Pastor

Position Status: Permanent Full-Time | Permanent Part-Time | Casual

Salary Range: $18.23/ hour to $28.28/hour (based on qualifications and experience)

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week 

This is an on-site position based at our 1077 St.James St., Winnipeg office.

Position Summary: 

The Administrative Assistant – Central Support plays a key role in supporting the Lead Pastor and strengthening the church's day-to-day operations by providing high-level administrative, organizational, and ministry support. This position assists with executive scheduling, communications, logistics, records management, and confidential administrative functions, helping ensure the smooth operation of the Lead Pastor's office and Central Support department.

In addition, this role supports church-wide volunteer administration by coordinating volunteer onboarding, compliance, and safeguarding requirements, while maintaining accurate records and administrative systems. Working closely with church leadership, staff, Site Coordinators, and ministry leaders, the Administrative Assistant helps ensure organized systems, effective communication, and operational excellence across all ministries and sites.

This role requires strong organizational skills, initiative, attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar administrative support role.
  • Knowledge of office management systems, administrative procedures, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced ministry environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with church leadership, staff, volunteers, and ministry teams.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records, databases, and confidential documentation.

Reports To: Reports directly to the Church Planting/Missions Pastor & Multi-Sites Lead. Works in coordination with the Administrator, Multi-Sites and the Administrator, Central Support to support the administration and operations of Multi-Sites and new church plants.

Position Summary: 

The Administrative Assistant to the Church Planting & Missions plays a vital role in supporting the Church Planting/Missions Pastor & Multi-Sites Lead by providing administrative and operational support for church planting, missions, outreach, and multi-site ministry initiatives. This position helps coordinate the day-to-day functions of the department, ensuring that projects, communications, logistics, and administrative systems are organized and effectively managed.

Working closely with church leadership, Site Pastors, Site Coordinators, ministry leaders, and external ministry partners, the Administrative Assistant assists with mission trips, church planting initiatives, outreach projects, departmental reporting, budgeting, travel coordination, and communication. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and supporting the mission and vision of International Worship Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Church Planting/Missions Pastor & Multi-Sites Lead.
  • Coordinate meetings, calendars, communications, travel arrangements, and logistics for church planting and missions activities.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating church planting initiatives, mission trips, outreach projects, and new site launches.
  • Support Site Pastors and Site Coordinators with administrative processes, facility rentals, equipment requests, promotional materials, and ministry resources.
  • Maintain departmental records, reports, budgets, databases, and annual calendars.
  • Coordinate communication with church staff, ministry leaders, missionaries, and external ministry partners.
  • Assist with research, reporting, and resource development related to church planting and leadership training.
  • Provide administrative support for the implementation of new church plants and multi-site ministry initiatives.

  • Proven administrative experience, preferably in a church, ministry, or non-profit environment.
